as it looks right now.. unless God intervenes, Elijah will be getting out later than Ashlee because St Louis takes premies cautiously. He's forming a little jaundice, and they are going to test the level of it in the morning. He's eating 15mm of milk per feeding and his IV got ripped out. It was a horrible sight, but I think God ordained because a nurse practitioner was standing near and told his nurse to not put it back in. They were just raising the amount he could eat 5mm per half a day, but because his IV was removed it was boosted 10mm for the next feeding which will be 11:30 tonight. Thats a good sign because his food intake is one thing they look at for him to go home. We just need God to intervene in the jaundice, and for Him to tell the docs that we are able to raise a premie at home since we've already raised two premies.. and everything will be okay.. so.. We just pray the Elijah lives up to his name, a man filled with the power of God

My son had jaundice also. A couple days under the light and he came home when I did. He weighed 5lbs 7 ozs. We did have to make a few trips back for blood test tho.
I pray that they both get to come home together.

Ashlee was discharged today, but she stayed up in St Louis so she could provide him with food. He won't eat for te nurses. The jaundice isn't bad enough for phototheropy so we are looking at Tuesday or Wednesday for them both to be home. I had to come take care of the big kids here at home.

I bet she misses the other kids and will be glad to get home. Maybe it is best that she stayed there a few more days to let her rest up before she comes home. Best wishes .

He's still up in St Louis, but it's looking like he's coming home Thurs or Fri. They are sending him home with an apnea monitor. His eating is fine. His jaundice level is fine. He's maintaining his own temp so far.

I'm heading up there wednesday, and will be there until he gets out.

Elijah is doing okay he has made it into a crib just about an hour ago since he is maintaining his temp. So as long as he maintains his temp he will be coming home soon. He is doing okay with his eating but is having a little bit of a hard time. So as long as he picks up on his eating and maitains his temp he will be coming home shortl. He will have to have a at home nurse that will come twice a week to check on him and to follow up on his heart monitor. But God has been good and is keeping his hand on us. We appreciatre all the prayers and will keep you updated. God Bless.
