| What's the general consensus on this? As I understand the law, a person can conceal carry a firearm into a place of worship with consent of the pastor or someone representing that church. Pastors, or any one else, what's your thoughts on this? | |

| Christopher, my husband is a Pastor, and I asked him his thoughts on this. He said he would probably ask that they leave the weapon in their vehicle. He didn't see any reason for anyone to need a gun in church. We have a small country church & he might feel differently if we were in a large city. | |

| I see his side of it. Of course years ago, parents would have thought their kids were safe at school. We all know that's not true anymore. It's not so much as you would need the gun in church. It's more that it becomes a part of your attire. You put it on like you do your shoes and socks in the morning. I don't need my cell phone in church but I strap it on every morning regardless of where I'm going. | |

| I dont know what my views are on this in all honesty... I think that the sanctuary is a holy place and it should remain that way but at the same time with the way the world is with church shootings and other non humane things I also understand carrying it... I mean I don't know are we to trust God to watch over us and that his will, will be done????? Yes I think but we want to feel protected to.... Who knows I'll leave this up to the pro's....lol... | |

| If I'm going to die for my faith then so be it. If God is going to protect me, Thank God, but if he wants me to stand up for my faith, Thank God again. | |

So along that same line of thinking, there's no reason for me to have a job. If God wants me to eat, he'll provide me food. If not, I'll starve.

| as for the part about guns in church, we know that in 1 Samuel 17:34-37 David went after the lion and bear that came against the sheep he was placed in charge to protect, and he slew them to protect the sheep.from a pastors view we are placed in charge of protecting GODS sheep. i myself am against guns i do believe GOD gives us other tools to protect his people(David had a sling and a stone).and yes we must prepare ourselves for death but we have to put in the foot work to goto Jesus as we must put in the foot work to goto work,GOD provided us Jesus as he provides us the ability to work. | |

| honestly it's not along the same lines. Adam's curse makes it so that all men must labor for ther food. God was providing until Adam screwed up.
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Our life itself is given over to God, and He can use it as He will.
The topic; however, wasn't on a matter of daily life, but of attending church services. While we are in service worshipping God, He will protect us unless by not protecting us, something greater will come of it.
How many souls were saved because people were willing to stand up and be martyrs. Take Rachel Scott for example.
