For Christmas, I received a new King James study Bible.
It states that there was a group of non-Christian Jews going around trying to despair the gentiles by saying they could not be saved unless they were circumsized.
A group of Christian-Jews (Peter, James, Paul, Barnabas etc) got together to discuss this matter and came to the conclusion that gentiles are not under Mosaic law, and did not have to follow those rules. They were given three basic rules and were left at that.
Does this mean that Jewish Christians (Jews being God's chosen people) are still bound by Mosaic law in that they have to eat certain foods on certain days, and have to do all this legalistic stuff?
I'm getting all of this from the book of Acts chapter 14 and 15.
